License Direct aims to take the headache out of licensing applications by helping you get it right first time.
We do this by;
- assisting you in applying for the correct level of licensing to suit your needs
- helping mitigate any problems which may arise during the application process
By using our services, we can help to ensure your application is right first time.
This may save you re-submitting the application and paying additional application fees if it is rejected.

Our packages provide support for businesses to help determine the licences they need. We make sure to complete them correctly and that the process is efficient and cost effective.

What is provided with the Pre-Application Advice service?
We will:
- Provide advice so that you can determine which licence(s), if any, are required
- Provide advice to ensure you apply for the correct level of licensing tailored to the needs of your business
- Provide advice on drawing up plans to accompany the application in accordance with relevant regulations *
What is provided with the Application Assistance service?
We will:
- Assist you with completion of the statutory application forms
- Assist you with drawing up plans to accompany the application in accordance with the relevant regulations *
- Assist you with completion of the statutory public and press notices *
What is provided with the Check and Send service?
We will:-
- Check your application to ensure it is valid and has been correctly completed
- Submit electronically on your behalf to the appropriate licensing office
- Give you an acceptance date so that the relevant statutory consultation period commences immediately from that date *
- Assist you with completion of the statutory public and press notices and provide you with completed copies of the required notices *
- Submit on your behalf to the relevant Responsible Authorities *
- Serve the application on the existing Designated Premises Supervisor *
What is provided with the Telephone Amendment service?
We will:
- Advise you of any minor amendments required and amend the application on your behalf.
- Give you an acceptance date so that the relevant statutory consultation period commences immediately from that date *
- Submit on your behalf to the relevant Responsible Authorities *
- Serve the application on the existing Designated Premises Supervisor
What is provided with the mediation service?
We will:
- Where appropriate, facilitate mediation by liaising with Responsible Authorities and/or Other Persons on your behalf in order to establish whether an agreement can be reached with the intention of a full hearing being dispensed with
Licensing NOISE Advice and Assistance
A range of NOISE advice and assistance services are provided by our Environmental Health (Community Protection) Team, who act as the Responsible Authority for the Prevention of Public Nuisance licensing objective.
These can be purchased as a package with your Licensing Direct services, or as a standalone service.
