The Hayle Emergency Services Community Station opened in March 2015. The aim was to improve partnership working. It was the first in Cornwall to co-locate
- fire and rescue
- police
- and ambulance
This new station also piloted the first ever Tri-Service Officer role.
In January 2016 we investigated other shared facilities working with the Ambulance service. The project aimed to provide a more efficient emergency response for the community in Truro. Benefits include:
- shared building costs
- better partnership working
- better use of shared resources
The new shared facilities at Truro Community Fire Station opened in September 2016. South Western Ambulance Service Foundation Trust's (SWASFT) move to the station realised all the project's initial aims.
Further information on other projects will be added here shortly.
