Cornwall Council are engaging on the future service model of Housing and Support Solutions in Cornwall. These services provide accommodation and support to young people and working age adults aged 16-64. These are also known as Supported Living Services. This includes services for people with needs related to:
- learning disabilities
- autism
- mental health
- drug/alcohol dependency
- and/or other complex needs
The following current contracts will come to an end in 2024:
- Supportive Lifestyles services
- Empowering Independence services
Demand for housing and support is currently exceeding supply. We would like to understand the current challenges and opportunities. This will help make sure the future service model is fit for purpose and able to meet increasing demand.
We conducted a range of surveys, these were focused on the people who are using services, staff members and the providers of these services.
Market Engagement Activities
We are inviting providers to express interest in our co-design discussions.
We conducted a soft market test on Lets Talk Cornwall
This was to:
- help inform our understanding of the housing and the support market; and
- confirm if this opportunity (if procured in the future) would be of interest to your organisation.
Market Engagement Conference
We launched our market engagement at a half day conference for providers and stakeholders. This took place on 19 September 2023 at Heartlands, Pool.
The event was well attended with almost 80 people from a wide range of services. It was a great start to our market engagement programme.
Presentation from the Housing and Support Solutions Conference 2023
Market Engagement Workshops
We are planning 6 thematic workshops to develop our recommissioning proposals.
Please note: all workshops will be taking place via ‘Teams’. Please email adultscommissioning@cornwall.gov.uk to book your place for any of these sessions
