- Kath Ennever | Children's Rights Lead
Hello, I’m Kath and I have the privilege of leading the Children’s Rights team, working alongside adults and children who want to make Cornwall a Brilliant Place to be a Child and Grow Up. We are faced with lots of challenges and inequalities in our communities and my team are working hard to raise awareness of children’s rights and work with others so that children are able to access what they are entitled to, to grow up healthy, happy and safe.
When I’m not at work, I really enjoy being outside….growing (and eating!) my own fruit and veg, cycling and BBQs with friends and family. - Hannah Tallis | Children’s Rights Officer
- I think I have the best job! I get to work alongside lots of different people and partners to make sure Children’s Rights are well known and embedded across Cornwall. I often have the privilege of working with and supporting projects for children and young people. I am regularly blown away by the passion, enthusiasm and eloquence of the children, young people and practitioners.
When I’m not working I can often be found on the beach, swimming in the sea or sea glass hunting. - Amy Davison | Children’s Rights Participation Officer
- Hi, I’m Amy and I work really closely with Rosie on Cornwall Youth Council. I’ve worked with young people in Cornwall for over ten years. What I like about my current role is that I can reach many more young people and help them facilitate change within Cornwall.
In my spare time I often walk the coastal paths. I enjoy visiting beaches and doing beach cleans – looking out for sea glass and driftwood while I’m there. - Rosie George | Children’s Rights Participation Officer
- I’m Rosie and I work to support and facilitate Cornwall Youth Council and Cornwall Youth Parliament. This involves supporting a range of regular meetings throughout the year. I also help organise wider events to promote Youth Voice and participation. I also support Members of Youth Parliament to campaign, both locally and nationally. This includes meetings, conferences, focus groups and wider events, such as the annual sitting in the House of Commons.
My hobbies include crafting, exercising and cooking. - Rachel Ford | Children’s Rights Development Officer
- I’m Rachel and I work on a variety of projects to help develop a children’s rights approach in Cornwall. For example, I recently helped organise a survey asking children and young people their views on the key issues affecting their lives. I am sharing the responses with colleagues to help them develop the services young people need.
In my free time I enjoy running, paddle-boarding and reading.
