The project will help 1600 residents access education, skills and jobs.
We will work with those who face barriers to accessing services or those without a settled home.
The project has four strands:
A pre-tenancy training programme. Offered by Citizens Advice Cornwall and AWC Training. This will help people who have never managed a home before gain the skills to apply for and keep a tenancy. They may be in supported housing, homeless, or threatened with being made homeless.
An intensive family support project. Offered through four of Cornwall’s largest Registered Housing Providers:
- Cornwall Housing Limited
- LiveWest
- Coastline Housing
- Ocean Housing
It will support families to help get adults into work. It will also work to increase school attendance rates among children.
Gypsy and Traveller inclusion project. TravellerSpace will focus on providing tailored literacy, numeracy and digital inclusion classes
An intensive homelessness support and prevention project. Delivered by Cornwall Housing Limited. Offering support to former rough sleepers and those at risk of homelessness, to access training opportunities and coaching.
