If you are re employed with an employer who participates in the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS), it is important that you notify us of this new job. Do this even if you do not intend to join the pension scheme on your new post. We will then check to see if your pension will be affected by your new job.
We only need to know if you are employed with an employer who participates in the LGPS. We do not need to know if you are re employed outside of local government, as this will not affect your pension.
If you rejoin the LGPS in your new post, you will build up further pension benefits which you will receive when you retire from your new post.
