About Princess May Recreation Ground
This public free-admission park managed by Cornwall Council and the Princess May Recreation Trust has been successfully transformed into an attractive green open space. It has a modern skate-bowl, playground, trim trail and large open green space for a range of recreational activities.
The success of the Park has certainly raised the profile of the area and demonstrated to the local community that people working together for a common goal can make changes happen, and this park is a prime example of this.
Penzance is very lucky to have such a high quality park, but it takes an incredible amount of work to keep it that way. If you want to join the Trust as a volunteer please get in touch with the Chairman, Melville Durrant email melvilledurrant@yahoo.co.uk.
So, pack up a picnic, the kids, the dog and even the teenagers with their skateboard or BMX and enjoy an afternoon at the Princess May Recreation Ground.
Everyone is welcome.
