Localism is not the sole preserve of Cornwall Council. The following organisations are all part of the partnership:
- Town and Parish Councils
- all Cornwall's voluntary organisations
This is our partnership approach to delivering the principles of Localism in Cornwall.
Our Council Members and staff work closely with local councils and community groups. This helps us and our statutory partners to develop a stronger understanding of, and empathy with, the communities we serve. The Vision and Strategy shows how we will all listen and react to the needs of local communities.
We have 12 Community Area Partnership areas.

These are now well established and have good working relationships with:
- statutory partners
- Town, Parish and City Councils
- voluntary organisations
Localism and Devolution are key elements of the Council Business Plan 2018-2022.
Through devolution, we are able to provide greater opportunities to communities.
