Testimonials
Recent happy customers commented:
PCSO Webb spoke to Sarah Hoole-Jackson in Building Control regarding some dangerous guttering on a property. PCSO Webb is very grateful that Sarah acted so promptly, the same evening the Fire Brigade attended and closed the road. The adjacent neighbours were very relieved that something had finally been done after months of waiting

All those that I spoke to (Sally/Michelle/Peter), were so helpful and lovely - especially given my embarrassment at having not got this matter right in the first instance. You got the whole thing processed so quickly and I sincerely thank you all."

There are three families that will be very grateful to be in their new homes before Christmas and we appreciate the way you have assisted in getting these properties over the line".
Thank you for the two completion certificates received.
Would you be kind enough to convey my thanks to your building control colleagues; who were all extremely helpful and competent.
"Good Morning, I’d like to say how pleased I was with our recent contact with your department. We are in the process of selling our house. A survey last week identified that we ought to have had a Building Regulation Certificate of Completion for our recent roof replacement. This as I am sure you can appreciate caused me concern. I’d like to thank you for the efficient and fast response to a situation which was causing me a great deal of stress."
"Pete Keam provides excellent advice. Chris Stanbury quickly responds to provide fee quotations."
"Excellent and knowledgeable officers and support staff."
"I would like to register my thanks and compliments for an excellent service of Rob Deverell"
I spoke to yourself and Gayle on Friday and spoke again to Gayle this morning. I just want to say a massive thank you for all your help both of you. My anxiety was going through the roof on Friday from being let down and messed around with our appointment. It was so nice to be able to speak to you both as you spoke to me with calmness and reassurance that eased and calmed me down, especially where you both spoke to me on an equal level instead of brushing me off being a woman and not 100% sure if I was explaining the right things to you. Thanks again
Choosing an Approved Inspector
If you choose to use an Approved Inspector you need to consider the following:
- How long has the Approved Inspector been in existence?
- Where is the Approved inspector based and how many staff do they have? How will this affect the frequency and timeliness of site inspections?
- Who is encouraging you to use an approved inspector, why might this be?
- What will happen if the approved inspector ceases to trade?
- If things go wrong, what procedures are in place to help your resolve the situation? If a problem arises, approved inspectors can cancel your application with them. You would then need to make a Reversion Application to us. There is a fee for a Reversion Application.
