Local Councils must formally submit their neighbourhood plan proposals to Cornwall Council. This is for their designated Neighbourhood Development Plan Area. This is in accordance with the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations 2012.
Cornwall Council will then consult on the plan proposal for each neighbourhood plan area with:
- residents
- other interested stakeholders
This is under Regulation 16 of The Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (amended).
To date, 49 Neighbourhood Development Plan Proposals have been formally submitted. These have been submitted to Cornwall Council by town and parish councils. Calstock NDP has been formally submitted and is currently going through a legal compliance check.
The Neighbourhood Plans that:
- have been formally submitted to Cornwall Council and
- are out to the statutory six week consultation
are listed on the Neighbourhood planning activity in Cornwall page
