Please read the terms and conditions which include important information about your booking and your visit.

Terms and Conditions

You can only visit in the vehicle listed on your booking

  • Any vehicle attempting to deposit commercial waste will be turned away and their details passed onto Cornwall Council’s Environmental Enforcement Team.
  • Abuse and threatening behaviour towards site staff and other users of the site will not be tolerated. The council reserves the right to ban users of the site who exhibit this behaviour – view behaviour policy
  • Check if your vehicle requires a HWRC permit before attending – check vehicle . You will not be allowed onto site without a valid permit
  • Please sort your items before visiting the site to minimise the time you need to spend there. Please note some of our sites operate black bag splitting – view more information .
  • Site staff will aim to provide assistance when reasonable. Please do not overload bags and ensure bags are only filled in volumes that can be safely managed.
  • For the safety of site staff and site users CCTV is an operation at all of our sites and our staff may be wearing body cameras.
  • Cornwall Council and Suez will track visits and will investigate any suspected breach of these terms and conditions. Details may be passed on to the relevant enforcement officers and/or third parties in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018
Data Protection statement

The data provided on this form is collected by Cornwall Council (the “Council”) as data controller. This is in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and the UK General Data Protection Regulations. The Council will keep the information given on this form on a database and may use the information for one or more of the following purposes:

  • processing your application for a booking
  • monitoring and administering the booking system
  • preventing or detecting the unlawful disposal of commercial or industrial waste
  • taking any enforcement action relating to the unlawful disposal of waste

We will ask you to provide us with your name, address, contact details and vehicle details in order to set up a booking for you. Your address will be used to confirm you are a Cornish resident, and therefore eligible to use Cornwall's HWRCs. The Council will pass your vehicle details to our waste disposal contractors SUEZ Recycling and Recovery UK Ltd and Cornwall Energy Recovery Ltd who will use the information for the Purposes. Without these details we will not be able to provide you with the service(s) you have requested.

The Council will not disclose the information to any other third party except where such disclosure is a legal requirement or is lawful or is in furtherance of the Purposes.

We will retain your details for 5 years from the date of your booking. All personal information held by Cornwall Council and its external service providers is held in a secure environment.
