You now have the opportunity to download the school term dates calendar in the iCalendar format. This format is supported by most major devices and calendar applications including:
- Microsoft Outlook
- Apple's Calendar
- Google Calendar
Downloading the iCalendar is a fairly simple process. You should be able to download and open the calendar in a few short steps.
We cannot support users to install the iCalendar on their computer or mobile device. This is due to the large amount of different computers, mobile devices and calendar applications. We can only provide you with the following advice.
Mobile devices and tablets
Most modern smartphones and tablets should give you the option to open the calendar once you have downloaded the iCalendar file.
More than one calendar application installed?
Your device should give you the option to select which application you'd like to open the calendar with.
Please note: The Google Calendar app does not allow users to open iCalendar files. You can still add the calendar to your Google Calendar but this must be done via their desktop site: Google Calendar. Google provide support on this topic which you can access here: Import events to Google Calendar.
Desktop and laptop devices
If you have a calendar application installed and configured on your desktop or laptop computer then you can easily add the term dates. Once you have downloaded the iCalendar file, simply open the file and your computer should prompt you to open it with your application.
If you use Google Calendar then you can add the term dates through the website. Google provide support on this topic which you can access here: Import events to Google Calendar.
