The SEND service, like many services across the UK, is currently experiencing higher than usual demand, which is having an impact on service delivery. We recognise the importance of timely communication, and we respectfully thank parents and carers for their patience and support.
The majority of children and young people who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) will have their needs met through SEND Support. This will be in their:
- Early Years Setting
- School
- College
A small minority of children or young people, who have the most complex needs, may need more intensive specialist help. If a child or young person cannot make educational progress with SEND support, an Educational, Health and Care (EHC) Needs Assessment might be the next step.
